Wired and Wireless Networks
We install and maintain both wired and wireless networks for clients in the Manchester and Cheshire area.
Our priority is to make sure that your network satisfies the demands of your business and maximises your team’s productivity.
Whether you need a new network or just feel that your current one isn’t working as well as it could, we’ll be happy to discuss ideas on how best to meet your needs within your budget.
Need a New Network?
We will find out about how your business works and what your priorities are before recommending the best way forward.
Wired (Ethernet) networks are fast, reliable, and secure. Where cabling is already incorporated into a building’s structure, then a wired network still makes sense for most businesses. We work with existing Ethernet networks, and install new ones where needed.
Wireless networking is, however, an increasingly effective alternative, and can really increase productivity in certain working environments. We’re aware that security can be a concern, but with the correct security protocols, it doesn’t need to be. We put everything necessary in place so that you get secure wireless networks you can trust.
With the latest Ruckus systems, we can even provide automatic signal transfer between floors. This removes the need to change access points as you move around the building.
Reasons to Consider a Wireless Network
We would recommend that you consider a wireless network if any of the following apply:
• You are moving into a new building. Plan to use wireless networking and you will save significant amounts on the cost of installing cabling.
• You are in an old building with erratic cabling and insufficient access points. With wireless, you’ll have far fewer trailing wires – and teams can arrange where they sit with a view to efficiency rather than proximity to a network socket.
• You need to extend an existing network to parts of the building where there is no cabling.
• Your staff use laptops and need to be to be able to log in instantly to the network from anywhere in the building.
We’ll discuss the options in detail so that you can be confident of making the decision that’s best for your business.
If you decide to go wireless, then we’ll make the transition a smooth one with our wireless network set up service (link to wireless network set up page).
Problems With Your Existing Network?
We always work to help you make the most of what you’ve got. Minor problems can cause major frustration – we’ll find them and sort them out. We’ll also make sure that your system is working to its full capacity.
If it’s clear that your network is stretched to its limits or beyond, we’ll look at cost-effective ways to expand capacity. If it makes more sense to start from scratch, we’ll talk to you about the options available.
