IT Services for Business Continuity
Planning for Business Continuity
With our IT support services as part of your business continuity plan, you'll have one less element of disaster recovery to worry about in a crisis.
Companies who lose all their data figure high amongst business failures. How long could you afford to have staff sitting at their desks doing nothing? What orders might you lose?
Amshire Business Continuity Services
We offer a range of services to protect our business. What’s right for you will depend on your budget and on how business critical it is for you to have ongoing access to your data and IT systems.
We can:
• Install and support market-leading backup software. This is the starting point for any business, providing for manual or automated backup procedures on tape, disk, or online.
• Provide online data backup. No matter how good your backup procedures, if a fire or flood destroys the tape/disk, you’re left with nothing. Online backup gives you the confidence that your data is backed up and accessible, whatever happens to your own premises or equipment – or to the person who would have had responsibility for the tape.
• Install an automatic line-switching mechanism, which comes into action if your primary Internet connection fails. It’s not only your own data and systems that can be business-critical. If you rely on continuing internet access, then it’s dangerous to be dependent on just one connection.
• Provide VOIP systems that can route calls to any point with internet access.
• Mirror your server(s), providing an exact duplicate of your network and its files and folders on alternative servers. This replica can be on site at your premises, on site at ours, or in a separate securer data storage centre. At any time you can access your infrastructure from an alternative location.
• Provide a fully-equipped office at our own premises, so that your team can get up and running immediately in the event of a serious problem at your own offices.
What Would You Do If Disaster Struck?
It’s tempting to think that if disaster strikes at your office, you and your team could simply work from home, using laptops.
Consider, though, what information and systems you use throughout the day. It’s likely that almost everything you do relies on being able to connect to your IT infrastructure. Even routine tasks become impossible without that connection.
Could you be sure you’d even know when your next client meeting was; that you could get in touch with all your contacts, or that you could run payroll?
